Carla Lamb is a trumpet player and teacher based in Houston,TX. Since moving to Houston she has performed with the Houston Brass Band, Texas Medical Center Orchestra, Houston’s First Baptist Church Orchestra, and Chroma Chamber Brass. She has also performed with the Eugene Symphony, Berkeley Chorus Orchestra, Merced Symphony, Nashville Philharmonic, Rogue Valley Symphony, and the Eugene Ballet with Orchestra Next.
Carla has also performed in many great horn sections across many genres for the following artists and bands; Cuchulain, Broth, Magali Delarosa, George Nehme, Destiny Navaira, among many others.
She has performed at several festivals including the Napa Valley Music Festival, the Atlantic Music Festival as a Resident Artist Fellow, Pierre Monteux, and Astoria Music Festival.
Carla is a very active teacher in the Houston area. Her students have earned spots in top music schools and programs across the country including the University of Miami, UNT, SUNY Purchase Crane School, LSU, UT Austin, University of Houston, Houston Youth Symphony, Berkeley, and the University of Oregon.
Carla earned her B.M. in trumpet performance at Belmont University and M.M. in trumpet performance at the University of Oregon. Her teachers include Jim Daniel, Dr. Joel Treybig, Brian McWhorter, and Sarah Viens.
